Major Energy Trading company - Data for Front Office

GambIT consulting were engaged to provide programme management services for a major energy trading company and assisted with:

• Setting up a new Data centric team,
• Development of a Target Operating Model,
• Delivery of an in-house data lake and data management platform to support data scraping, capture, ingestion, processing, storage, programmatic access, data quality monitoring. Gas, Power, Oil, Coal, Emissions, etc. trade/ order/ reference data from energy trading exchanges and OTC, fundamentals data for forecast models and trading algorithms.

Major Oil and Gas company - Trading Compliance

GambIT consulting were engaged to provide project management services for a trading arm of a multinational oil and gas company and ensure timely delivery and integration of trade surveillance and communication monitoring software systems and data feeds.

We worked with client's Compliance teams, IRM, Legal, Monitoring and Surveillance, operations and support, distributed development teams and 3rd-party vendors.

• We turned around and successfully delivered a £multi-million business critical project, working with 13 vendors (Bloomberg, ICE, Accenture, NICE, Vodafone, etc.), global compliance and IT teams. Implemented a global business communication monitoring solution for Shell’s trading population.
• We also helped to fill in gaps in Nasdaq’s SMARTS implementation for trade surveillance
• And implement a data archival solution for NICE Actimize trading surveillance system.

Investment management firm (buy-side) - Front Office

GambIT consulting provided programme and project management services to one of the firm's investment managers and assisted the business in setting up the programme and project governance, steering committees working with C-level executives and senior management.

​We gathered programme requirements, helped to define the technology roadmap and:

• Oversaw a business-critical programme of work, including completion of Equities OMS/EMS platform integration, Front office platform maintenance and enhancements working with traders, fund/asset managers, analysts, risk, compliance.
• Performed business analysis and hands-on managed a number of front-office and regulatory projects:
  • Integration of a TCA (transaction cost analysis) 3rd party solution in order to minimise trading costs and enable best execution;
